Nova Leah

Nova Leah is a company that provides cybersecurity solutions specifically designed for medical device manufacturers and healthcare providers. It offers two advanced systems—SelectEvidence™ and SelectEvaluate® —that enable real-time cybersecurity risk management throughout the entire medical device lifecycle. These systems utilise AI and ensure continuous compliance, ultimately contributing to a safer healthcare ecosystem.

The Challenge

When I started working at Nova Leah, one of the initial challenges I faced was the need for a consistent branding strategy in the existing software. The interface had an outdated design with a colour scheme that clashed with the company's logo, making it challenging to maintain a cohesive visual identity. My task was to create a Design System from scratch, using the logo as a reference point.

This meant developing an interface aligned with the logo's visual identity while adhering to web standards and UI best practices. The goal was to integrate all components cohesively under the brand, resulting in a more professional and intuitive interface. The transformation aligned the software with the branding and attracted more investor attention, marking a significant leap in the software's market appeal.

My Role

At Nova Leah, one main challenge was improving the user experience (UX) of highly technical cybersecurity software such as SelectEvidence™ and SelectEvaluate®. The goal was to make these complex systems more intuitive and accessible to all users while maintaining their functionality.

Nova Leah helps connected medical device manufacturers meet cybersecurity compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Competitor Analysis: Cybersecurity Platforms for Medical Devices

To inform the design strategy for SelectEvidence, I conducted a competitor analysis of leading cybersecurity platforms in healthcare and adjacent industries. This helped identify best practices, UI patterns, and key opportunities to differentiate SelectEvidence as a compliance-focused, user-friendly tool for medical device manufacturers.
